Starting in the first school term of 2016, I Can’s mentoring program will be kicking off at Aquinas College, a secondary school in Ringwood.
As well as allowing us to reach dozens more kids on the spectrum, this will also be the first I Can School in the Ringwood district, and will therefore establish our presence in area, so that not only Aquinas students, but the entire local community can benefit from what we offer.
Among the students at Aquinas are Luka and Isaac Weston, who starred in our Awetism 2015 Expo last month, where they showcased their remarkable talent for animation. They later went on to give this same presentation to a crowd of 300 of their student peers at Aquinas. We see enormous potential in these two, and the way that their talents are already being recognized by the school speaks volumes about Aquinas as an institution, and why we are so keen to work with them.
I Can Network will kick off at Aquinas College when school resumes on the 27th of January.
